A new approach to surface design.

Professional color separation, interactive color development and a direct workflow into Photoshop — brought together in one international B2B platform.

The platform

Surface design meets production expertise.

LYTEXA is an international B2B platform that combines professionally prepared surface designs with real color separations, interactive color development and a direct workflow into Adobe Photoshop.

Every design is supplied with independently controllable colors, allowing professional color development without rebuilding the artwork.

Before licensing, users can explore designs at different scales, view them on realistic products and develop their own colorways directly in LYTEXA Color Lab.

The separation doesn't come after the design. It is created with it.

CREAPARATE

Create and separate — at the same time. With CREAPARATE, design creation and color separation happen simultaneously. Instead of separating a finished image afterwards, controllable colors, tonal transitions and depth are developed as part of the creative process itself.

What makes LYTEXA different

From separation to interaction.

01

CREAPARATE

Designs are created and color-separated simultaneously. Tonal transitions, depth and individually controllable colors become part of the design from the beginning.

02

Color development before licensing

Every separation can be recolored online. Colors can be exchanged by drag and drop and new combinations explored before a design is licensed.

03

Color Lab

More than one hundred color themes provide a starting point for automatic combinations, while complete palettes can be shifted in color range, saturation and brightness.

04

From browser to Photoshop

After licensing, a developed palette can be transferred to the dedicated LYTEXA Photoshop extension and applied directly to the Color Fill Layers of the production file.

Stephan Alker

Founder, LYTEXA

45 years of experience. One idea, finally possible.

Stephan Alker began his career at Transfertex in 1980, training in print reproduction and gravure retouching at a time when color separation was an entirely analogue process. Working with film and darkrooms, designs were separated into up to six individual colors before being prepared for gravure printing on copper cylinders.

In the early 1990s he moved into electronic image processing, first using Silicon Graphics systems and BARCO software. Transfertex later made what was then an unconventional move to Apple Macintosh and Adobe Photoshop, which became his daily working environment for the decades that followed.

His work increasingly connected design creation with technical color separation. He later headed Transfertex's reproduction department. In the early 2000s he developed an early concept for standardized digital surface designs and founded patterndisc, attempting to bring the idea to market on CD-ROM. The market, however, was not yet ready.

After leaving Transfertex following a 45-year career, he continued designing and licensing surface designs. New AI-assisted technologies eventually provided the tools to turn decades of production experience and a long-standing idea into a new platform.

That experience also shaped CREAPARATE — an approach in which design creation and color separation are not separate production stages, but part of the same creative process.

LYTEXA is the result.

The innovation

Color development before licensing.

Explore complete colorways directly on the design. Recolor individual separations, exchange colors by drag and drop, generate new combinations from curated color themes and transform entire palettes in real time.
